چکیده
Abstract The fatigue of concrete has been the subject research for many years, and yet, there are still open questions. In particular, fatigue‐induced damage evolution accompanied by a stress redistribution process propagating through structure is not fully understood. So far, only few experimental studies addressing propagation material zone occurring, example, in beams with pulsating, nonuniform profile. To investigate influence such configurations on structural degradation process, measuring concept developed combining digital image correlation, fiber optic sensors, conventional strain gauges. presented experiments visualize compression prestressed subjected to loading. Based measurement concept, quantitative foundation comprehensive validation design rules models accounting can be significantly extended.

Non - linear analysis of externally prestressed concrete beams
In an external prestressing system, there is no strain compatibility between the cable and the concrete at every cross-section, the increment of cable strain must be evaluated by taking into account the whole structure, rather than performing the calculation at each section, independently. In this study, a method for the calculation of cable strain, which is based on the deformation compatibili...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Monitoring of Temperature Fatigue Failure Mechanism for Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber Concrete Using Acoustic Emission Sensors
The applicability of acoustic emission (AE) techniques to monitor the mechanism of evolution of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber concrete damage under temperature fatigue loading is investigated. Using the temperature fatigue test, real-time AE monitoring data of PVA fiber concrete is achieved. Based on the AE signal characteristics of the whole test process and comparison of AE signals of PVA fib...
متن کاملProcessing Digital Image for Measurement of Crack Dimensions in Concrete
The elements of the concrete structure are most frequently affected by cracking. Crack detection is essential to ensure safety and performance during its service life. Cracks do not have a regular shape, in order to achieve the exact dimensions of the crack; the general mathematical formulae are by no means applicable. The authors have proposed a new method which aims to measure the crack dimen...
